The Chinese Progressive Association is looking for an intern for the Immigrant Rights Project. The intern will be involved in many different aspects of this project: attending meetings, reaching out to community residents, research, and writing educational/promotional materials. This internship provides a great opportunity to practice education, outreach and organizing skills. Duties include:  | Research immigration proposals impact on Chinese community |  | Conduct outreach to community members and organizations |  | Assist in incorporating immigrant rights information into ESL class curriculum |  | Drafting materials and press releases |  | Preparing summary report for project | Qualifications:  | This internship is ideal for the college or graduate student with a strong Interest in immigration issues, community organizing and outreach |  | Outgoing and enjoy working with immigrants |  | Previous experience in organizing or outreach activities |  | Bilingual in English and Chinese |  | Strong written and spoken communication skills |  | Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel | Hours:  | To be negotiated (8-15 hours per week) | Stip end:  | Unpaid.
